Sunday Drive

Today was Lazy Sunday at our house.  After sleeping in and lounging in our jammies for most of the morning, we finally decided to take a little drive.  Initially we stopped down at the local boat ramp to drown a worm (apparently a day without fishing is a day not lived).  Seconds later Steve and Elizabeth decided to walk farther down shore...and found this:

Nanoseconds later, I vowed never again to visit the river.
But not before this happened:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Just kidding.

Personally I could do without serpents but am glad the chain of snake haters has been broken.  Little side note, the definition of SERPENT is "something that creeps".  Need I say more?

After the drama, we decided to drive the South side of the river
where we saw some more of the local wildlife.

 A flock of Sandhill Cranes

A herd of goats...not exactly "wild"life but still cute :)

Our own piece of wildlife, Izzy (aka Feef)
So, after the "horrifying incident" it was nice ending the day on a good note: with animals
that are soft and fluffy.  Here's to more days with petable pets!
